SEYPEC Marks 40th Anniversary with Key Donations to La Digue Community

As part of its 40th Anniversary celebrations this April, the Seychelles Petroleum Company (SEYPEC) proudly demonstrated its ongoing commitment to community development through significant donations to the people of La Digue.

In a ceremony held on La Digue, SEYPEC officially handed over five new street solar lights, enhancing safety and public lighting on the island. In addition, the company unveiled a new pontoon at the La Digue Petrol Station, providing a dedicated and modern facility to facilitate boat fuelling services, greatly improving maritime accessibility and service efficiency.

The Director of Operations and Technical, Mr. Ray Hoareau, handed over 5 solar street lights to Mr Terry Volcere, who accepted the donation on  behalf of Seychelles Land Transport Agency and a fuelling pontoon for vessels which was accepted by Mrs Barbera Barallon, District Administator on behalf of the La Digue Community.

The ceremonies took place in the presence of Board Directors, CEO, management as well as the operations and technical team of SEYPEC. Also present was the CEO Of Seychelles Ports Authority Mr. Sony Payet, Member of the National Assembly of La Digue,  Honorable Rocky Uranie, senior officers of Land Transport Agency, Seychelles Maritime Authority, the Seychelles Police Force and District Authorities. 

Through these contributions, SEYPEC continues to honour its mission of giving back to the communities it serves, celebrating four decades of national service and looking forward to shaping a brighter, more sustainable future for Seychelles.
